Megan Exhaust

Megan Racing exhaust for an X5M?

Looks nice, impressive sound clips on youtube.
Lacks valve... other than that is there any reason that I shouldn't consider it?

It requires cutting the stock exhaust off. The stock exhaust is one piece all the way to the downpipes.

I would definitely go for the exhaust...i went for a test drive today in an X5M i was looking into buying and it sounded like a 328i...even the cold start was very quiet compared to my 50i...are all X5M's that quiet???

Quiet till you mash the gas

To answer your question, yes! that was a selling point for me. The X5M is very quiet till you want it to be. Mash the gas and it transforms into the beast it is.

The best exhaust out there is the stock exhaust mod. You want a little volume that is the way to go.

I have considered the exhaust mod as well, but I would like better looking tips too. I like having the flap active.

...However, the Megan exhaust is realitively inexpensive and I could always revert back to OEM should I get tired of it. If I carve up the OEM exhaust, it would not be as simple.
