Looking at Wheel Options.....
X5 hasn't even been delivered yet and I'm already shopping for mods. Got a few things ordered and now I'm looking at possible wheel options. I'm personally a fan of something that looks OEM and traditionally consider my vehicles tastefully modified. That being said I've been looking at OEM-ish looking wheels and considering the following options.
Let me know what you guys think. 22" Style 599 Replica 21" Style 597 Replica 22" Style 310 Replica (same setup as member dubsesd) |

Why are 21" tires double the price of 20" tires? It's the only thing that would put me off going 21" but it's not that much extra rubber, surely.

I like all those wheels pictured and also prefer the OEM+ look, but I wouldn't do replicas. I'd get OEM 599M, or the BBS SV like P1et mentioned.

The BBS SV wheels are very nice but frankly I'm not going to drop $4-5k on wheels when that money can be better spent or saved elsewhere. If I can find some 21" OEM wheels for a decent deal I'd definitely go that route but it seems they go for a premium. |

"But for me, i dont drive MADE IN CHINA Rims on a $80,000 dollar, 5000lbs 550hp car, just my 2 Cents.

I would skip the replicas and shop for wheels that are stronger and lighter weight than the stock. With that being said I ordered a set of Vossen VFS2 wheels and they are significantly lighter than stock and come with a 5 year warranty.
In regards to 21" wheels. 1. The demand for them are low so that's why they are more expensive 2. There's only 2 options in our size and I believe both are RFT 3. When you get ready to sell them nobody will buy them because of options 1 & 2 4. 22" wheels with stock suspension and none RFT is still better than 20/21 w/RFT |

I've been kicking around the possibility of selling my mint OE ferrite grey style 215s. 21 inch with almost brand new OE Dunlops with about 500 miles on them. 285/325s. You can message me if interested and I can send pics.
