What happens if PCV is not changed right away?

What effects does it have on the car?

Which engine do you have? I think with the N54/5 it's an easy swap.

It depends on what issue you're having with the PCV system. Worst issue would be a clogged. This issue could be more or less common depending on the type of system.

Anyway, a clogged system can cause seals failing, more oil entering the combustion chamber and poor idle.

A leaking system can cause an oily smell, CEL, vacuum leak, failing emission test, poor idle

Is there a DIY on the PCV system? How frequently should this be taken care of? Thanks.

Fortunately, I’m not having a problem. I have 58k on the clock and want to make sure I take care of this girl. I ride her hard at times so I want to make sure I address as much as I can.

Thanks for the DIY.
