How to open up the rear center concole?
Hi all,
One of my friends, bless his heart, dropped a coin into my rear center console. My guess is he put it right on top of the sliding cup holders cover and then, by sliding the cover into the open position, he dropped the coin inside the console. The sound the freaking coin makes when I’m cornering at high speeds drives me nuts. My service appointment is in two weeks and I’m afraid I won’t live that long with this thing going on I remember there were a few posts in this forum with blueprints taken from some sort of a BMW parts database. I would greatly appreciate any pictures related to the rear console disassembly. Thanks in advance. |

Remove the 2 rear seat cushions. Pull up at the end(the end closer to the back of the front seats). Remove 2 screws at the side of the center console. Remove the rubber tray(the bigger one) Use a toothpick. U will see another 2 screws n remove them. Whole console can be remove now.

2 metal clips at 4 and 8 O'Clock position. Force required is like slaming a room door hard. Dnt worry, the clips wont break. To secure the seats back, simply position the cushion properly and slam hard ur butt onto the seats and u will hear 2 clicks. Make sure u heard 2 clicks for each seat.
