So just went and got an alignment today and as my wife pulled out of the driveway from the shop, warning sensor went off warning of a LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION. Right now the car is down all the way where I can barely get one finger between the top of the tire and the fender (looks nice as hell lol) and the ride is crap and bouncy as hell. Anyone had this before?

I had a similar issue at one point and found that one of the rear self-leveling links came loose. In the picture below its the small link next to the purple arrow. Granted this pic isn't from an X5M it is very similar looking.

Windtendo, thanks you are the man. That is exactly what happened. One end of the adjustable rear endlinks popped off from the sensor and as soon as I brought it back close to the sensor to snap it back in I heard the compressor kick on and the rear end raised.

Must have came loose when my wife left the driveway from the shop yesterday. It wasn't a smooth/gradual drop off and I guess she hit it hard coming out of it.

Can see if the bmwhat app can do that. Just stop by sometime. Can grab your wheels too why you are at it.

Hey Da808dad, i have exactly the same issue. After going for wheel alugment my suspension has gone lowered completely and is not coming up. It shows exactly the same message.
While i went to the garage, the system showed vehicle lighting failure and i couldnt turn off my lights. Nor coild i pull up the windows neither could i unfold my side mirrors. But after a restart. All the features are working perfectly fine.
Just for information i got my battery changed yesterday.
Can anyone help me in this sutuation please

Did you check the links in the rear like this one? If you had the battery changed, check in the trunk of the red battery module is tightened... once you disconnect that, the car has all sorts of malfunctions that show up. They go away after some time and turning it off and on.

I checked the red battery module as well. I checked the fuses as well. All seem to be good. Thank you for your valuable reply. Can it be anything else? Im too worried 😣

Your FRM (footwell module) may be going out based on the lights, windows, and mirrors acting strangely. This module is covered under a BMW extended warranty for 10 years / 125K miles IIRC.

I checked with AGMC the local BMW dealer and they told me there is no way i can extend my warranty.
A friend of mine checked the issue and told me, there is - “K Line fault”
What does this mean ?

Have you got your battery Registered? How many miles on the car? It could be bad air spring and if you don’t take care of your air spring it will burn the air pump. I had to replace both my air spring and pump and it’s an expensive repair

This tells a bit about what it is. It's a can-bus module... faults can range from just about anything, but mostly what I've read is that resetting the module seems to fix it.
