BMW X5 Test Fit

I saw this on a local forum I am apart of recently. Mishimoto is looking for a 2001-2006 BMW X5 (V6) to test fit a radiator for! I would do it myself, however, I have the 4.4 V8

Anyone on here with that motor going to contact them? Here is the link to the thread I found this on.

Mods, if we have an issue with linking to another forum, feel free to remove the link.

They're going to be searching for a long time trying to find a V6 model...

I am guessing either not many are still around, or they were produced in smaller quantities?

I'm shocked that they are not asking for the 4.4L V8. I guess whoever went with the smaller motor is going to make out on this one. haha

You are correct, super rare, BMW made exactly zero X5's with a V6, they did make quite a few with the I6 though. My guess is that no one in their right mind would loan a tuning company their 50k car if they don't even know what engine the car has!

Wow, really? LOL, on a technical issue like that?

Sorry, but that seems ridiculous. Maybe they are not well versed in the BMW world and they are trying. Not sure what else to say.

actually, I checked the link you provided and they are not asking for 2001-2006 V6, what it says is 2001-2006 X5 (I6). Perhaps just a typo in your original post?

Possibly. I am still confused on how this misunderstanding or miscommunication is the reason why BMW owners wouldnt go to them. It's a free rad! From my experience with my 97 E36 M3, the BMW cooling system lacks. The endtanks blew out at 97K, went Mishimoto and have never had a problem. Had it installed for the past 3 years or so now.

I am at 57K with my X5 right now, so I can only be hopeful that this OEM system will last longer.
