I pod adapter
When I hook up my I pod to the BMW iPod adapter, the I drive does not recognize the I pod. I can hear the sound but not see the songs on the navi screen.
I recently upgraded the maps with a new disc. Could this have thrown the system off? |

Not sure if I am the norm but I did have the same experience. I connected my newer design Ipod-touch and it was NOT recognized. I tried an Ipod nano(the older stick model) and it works perfectly, so thats now my in-car unit. Humm.. I think that the problem may be in the stereo system firmware whereby incompatibilities in newer Ipod design is not handled. Forward compatibility is always difficult. It would be nice if there was some sort of Software Upgrade to handle this. Anyone know of a REAL solution here???
