Brake Pad Problem? Engine Sound??

Hi everyone,,

I drove my X6 V8 up to 6000 KM until now, but when it reached 3000 KM, when I press on brake, I hear sound same as when your brake pad is finished,,

its strange because the car is new and I asked my friend, he told me maybe the brake pad is not cleaned well and you get this sound,,,

but yesterday I washed my car fully washed but still I got the same sound..!!
I am wondering if the dealer used bad type of brake pad!!
If anyone have the same problem please let me know..

the other thing is, when the car on gear 1, and I only drove 20-30 KM, I hear sound from engine like steering wheel sound, but when I increase the speed it gone!! even when I want to turn right or left, I hear the same sound again!!!

I am waiting for your reply guys,,

You should have taken it straight back to the main agent, do it now.

Put the car on a ramp, all wheels in the air, ask someone to press the gas pedal and put your ear close to the spinning wheels. . .notice if the sound is from the wheels. . then, it's the calipers.

Take it back to the dealer and they will fix it. That is what your warranty is for. They will replace brake pads, calipers, etc. so no need to worry.

+1. Could be tight calipers, warped, scored or pitted discs - there is a multitude of possibilities. Don't get involved in trying to troubleshoot brake or steering issues yourself - you have paid for the warranty in the price you paid for the car. Take it back to the dealer and tell him to give you a loaner car and keep it until it is fixed.

Cheers, Anteater.

I know it's covered by warranty, but it always helps to learn a little bit of mechanics, , so that you know the shit by the time you are off-warranty, and mechanics try to fool you with bogus diagnosis and crap problem statements. .for a big paycheck.

Free tip: Don't let your mechanic get the idea that you are parralel to car mechanics. .He will fuck you up big time. This is an universal statement!

hello bro,,

you know what happend, I took my car to the agent, and they told me that my brake pad need to be cleaned because when there is some dirts on it you get this sound, and they told me to bring it and clean it, it will take like 3 hours,,,

about the engine sound, I asked them too, they told me because my car working on three fans, this is the reason for hearing this sound, so nothing wrong with it,,

about ur engine sound like you hear something broke, I think because of twin turbo sound so dont worry bro about it,,
