I was a little concerned at first (I have only 1k miles on it now); I had been getting only 16mpg on my first 500 miles or so. Now it does seem to be moving up. My expectations were only to get 18 (same as on my X5), so if it ends up higher as some of you are saying than that would be a very pleasant and unexpected surprise!

The first of the two turbos makes o lot of diffrent. The thing i notice most is that you feel the power all the way. With my X5 it drops of more and more but the X6 keep growing power all the way to the rpm limit... And you for sure feel the power. I didnt expect that a diesel engine could feel so "sporty" and powerful. And i did love my V8 gasoline engine I have not tried the 3.5i gasoline, but im sure its a lovley engine. About the apples/oranges...they are both fruits
