X5 lack of night vision?
Hi, I'm considering X5 for my next daily-driver. It seems that BMW has no night vision available for X5 as a factory option. Is there any good reason for that? Even LCI doesn't include that option if I'm not wrong...

HID's not bright enough ? I live off a pitch black Lake area, and it serves me fine.

I too wondered about that. Where I live we have a lot of wildlife. I do not worry about the risk of hitting a coyote but deer and moose can really ruin your day. Night vision would be great. I suspect that in a few years it will be an option and that shortly after that we will be able to retrofit it. After all we have the screen, all we need is the camera and software.

There was always a bit of a difference between tech that was offered on the regular 5er and the x5. The x5 just got active cruise (on the LCI) after all ... And the 5er had that for quite some time.
