Hi Shawn,

I have two 2014 320i, both without navigation but only one of them has sat radio (purchased from a 3rd party). I wonder if I can just take out the basic Radio from this car and put it on my second 320 in order to get the sat radio on this car? Would I need to do some coding?

No, that will not work. You would have a VIN mismatch between car and head unit / FSC Codes, which would inactivate them.

Sat Radio FSC Code is cheap. I would just buy one and code car. If you need a source, send me a PM.

i didn`t choose f30 on launche and when i closed it at next start beggin with model f999 and says 2 days for next choose.
this meen must wait 2 days to choose f30 or must do something else?

And this instruction was not clear?

"* NOTE: E-Sys Launcher 2.x Car Series MUST be set to exactly match the car's chassis type you are coding (e.g. F01, F06, F07, F10, F12, F15, F25, F30, F82, F83, etc.). If after install it defaults to F999 and it cannot be changed, change PC Date ahead 4 days, then change E-Sys Launcher Car Series, then change PC Date back to current date. DO NOT create .EST Token and PIN with PC Date advanced 4 days as the Validity Start Date for the token will be 4 days in the future."

Thanks so much for all the guidance. Was successfully able to code all the required tasks.

A few questions now if you don't mind:
- If I want to code a different car (F32 instead of F36), since 3 days have past can I simply change the car series in the launcher from F36 to F32? I'm assuming yes.
- Do I need to generate new token or reinstall anything? I'm assuming no.
- Since this is a new file, can I simply delete all the .ncd files in Cata/CAF folder since they related to a previous car that I'm no longer coding? I'm assuming when I read the new CAFD files, they would all accumulate in this folder.

If my assumptions are wrong in any of the above, please let me know.

Yes, after 3 days, change it and code a different chassis.

There is no reason to reinstall anything.

You can delete .NCD files or leave them. Makes no difference.

i did mistake because it was first time that install it and didnt have abord but waiting for f30 choose . its my fault.

Question: Do I need to make a folder for my f30 chasis?
Instructions state to "Make sure that there is an empty "dist" folder in each of the psdzdata chassis folders, and if missing, create as needed"
I don't see an f30 folder.

Today i tried to code a F33 so that his side mirror would fold when he lock his car using comfort access. But after coding, it didn't happen.

Did i miss any of the steps? The similar coding works on F30 though.

No. It is a known issue, with it not working on F-Series convertibles, and that includes 6-Series ones too.

i am waiting for cable OBD to LAN. when it comes i am trying to code somes which i found the value allready, my question is how i know if my car have the HARDWARE to change them. for exmple because my english is not for trust, i want to change the usb video`s on idrive and not only mp3 as now. i have 5 ince screen not navi system ( 7ince ) they will works or not. and if a give a try and will see tha will not do anything, then must return and change the value again to No active? or i see whitch is the value i will can change from the e-sys when read FA an VST and for example again the folder must change dosnt create/exist?

You know only from Experience or Trial and Error.

I will save you some trouble though. You cannot get USB Video on a non Navigation Head Unit.

so one one value anytime and checking the errors if the value is onthe first time right.

Bricking an ECU is always risk that comes with Flashing (Programming) an ECU with new Firmware. It is incredibly difficult to brick ECU from just frmo Coding it. The only time I have ever seen it happen is Clicking "Code Default Values" on CID Control Unit, and unlike other ECU's, the CID often cannot be recovered from this mistake.

To Shawn and anyone that can help:

I'm typing fro Brasil. BMW started to produce down here last year, 1, 3, X1 and X3 series. All of them using N20 drivetrain that was adapted to work with any amount of ethanol. We also get to know that they are using the 328i engine in all the line, because of the variable ethanol amount. So the 320i could be turned into a 328i in theory and so on for the other series.

So the drivetrain is the same and I ask: What does have to be modified to turn a 320i into a 328i? We will have only to code and change motor on the VO? Will we have to change the eprom?

I would appreciate any help, thx.
