X5M - 2B1D Error

Hello. New to the XBimmers forum, but long time BMW fan. A while back I added a 2013 X5M to the collection, car had a few thousand kilometers. A few nights ago, I was driving around when I got the Check Engine Light, and message of engine operating at reduced output. I have INPA and was able to run a diagnostic/clear the messages. The only message that reappears is:

12 DME/DDE OKAY 1 Error stored 2B1D A1

I have tried looking up the code, and it seems it might be a Cylinder 8 Misfire. I was wondering if anyone could provide me with further information. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

I got a lot of those reduced power warnings / misfires when coil packs failed on my old X5. Have the injectors been replaced? What about the PVC turbo coolant lines?

How many miles is the truck at? Have you swapped the plugs? Try swapping coils around and see if the error changes to another cylinder. Cylinder 8 is a pain to get to, search for X5M spark plug DIY. If it's still under warranty then just take it to BMW for repair.

Thanks for all the replies. The car is 100% stock. And still under warranty, so I will have to take it in. It has about 15k kilometers, and as far as I know, nothing has been replaced as far as coils, plus or injectors. The car has been through normal service. I will let you guys know what I find out. Thanks

Hello guys. This was a while back and BMW fixed it under warranty. It was a Cylinder 6 cool problem, they replaced the coil and the engine is working perfectly.
