Glad you're alright. Terrible to take a hit like that, but hopefully it turns around and you end up with a new project. Hope you heal up quick! Let us know how it goes.

Its official. Total Loss. $19k in repairs just to exterior parts without breaking the car down. Shes off to the salvage yard.

Now the fun part is to fight with his insurance to pay for my aftermarket parts.

You been with the insurance company long? Usually they take care of one term customers. Hope they don't hassle you. Maybe some stuff can be pulled also, but that would be a huge PITA.

Don't want to jump ahead too fast, but...What's next? F85?

Been with them a few years. I'm not at fault so my insurance is taking care of it and then going after his. I will then probably get my attorney to make a couple phone calls to try and get me reimbursed for the aftermarket stuff if they try to fight me on it.

Not sure yet. Part of me is saying save a bunch of money and go with another e70 (2013, white, loaded), part of me is saying F85.... part of me is saying get away from this heavily depreciating unreliable vehicle and get something like an SRT jeep. Little slow, doesnt handle as good... but lots more technology and amenities with more cargo and better towing abilities. If the speed really became and issue I could get the whipple kit and be pushing 750 to the wheels for about $7k.

I would also like to know what their salvage value is on it, if you're able to share.

Sorry to see it go down like that, but luckily you are OK.

If insurance doesn't reimburse you for the upgrades, they will usually let you remove the parts that can be unbolted, especially if you have the oem parts to leave with the car.

Don't buy the Jeep. The 06-11s are faster then the current generation because of weight. They have problems I don't think you want to deal with. Just browse the Jeep forum you will see. My 05 Hemi truck has had problems it shouldn't have had, and generally has been a relatively disappointing situation. I believe the next ride my wife gets will be a base model F15.

I had to fight them to get them in to the high 20's. Truck was in mint condition with good tires, brakes, etc. Dealer serviced, purchased from EAG (globally known for high quality M cars). If you had one with little options in average condition you would be looking at 25-26k.

Mine was a 10', loaded with 65k miles.

That sounds about right, but I wasn't talking about the replacement value. I meant I was curious about the salvage value- the salvage dollar amount they placed on the car they expect to receive at a salvage auction (also the amount they would sell you back the car). I usually see them sell for 10-15k at auction so I just wondered where they put their number.
