Damn brother I haven't been on here much lately due to work...new M4 and Turbos!!!
 congrats on the new car and looking forward to turbo upgrade details, I've been hesitant on pulling the trigger on those snails for a while now

Just read through 30 pages, must say it came a long way. Love the look and can't wait to see the outcome with the stage 2 turbos.

Lame question but still curious since you used to have another X5 - Did you notice a difference between both X's and wind noise? I drive with my windows partially down during higher speeds and get some whistling and a lot of wind noise from my mirrors (not a missing jack pad or window position).
x5m mirror caps look to address the issue of the straight running seam along the front that is probably causing the whistle although Im sure the redesign was for pure aesthetics (remember seeing a tsb somewhere calling to put tape in certain places with the mirror disassembled to address on regular X5's). Do you recall any wind noise difference between the two? That is, if you could hear anything over that //M beast under that hood  |
