But how do I do that? Driving the car for 30 days will simply bring the chips back. And I'm a two hour drive away from the dealer, so even bringing it home, parking for 30 days, and bringing it back will recreate the problem. It's a 'vicious circle'.

They said they'll need to pick up the X5 35d loaner that I'm currently driving, but will give me a previously owned car from their certified inventory. They are going to drive the two hours to me to swap vehicles. I told them my wife and I can make do with her vehicle for the next 30 days, but they said they want to make things right so will give me a car. So it's still a headache, but I'm feeling better. Note: They also told me they will now be applying the film to ALL X5 M Sports before they put them on the lot. |
