don't get me wrong, i have nothing bad to say about Paul Walker. i admire that he stayed true to himself and down to earth, and by all reports really gave back to the community.

i'm just cringing at the mental picture of all the vapers in their stanced cars with the stickers that say "for Paul" and that dumb quote that apparently he never said, all showing up for this meet

there's nothing wrong with idolizing someone - i just find the way that this particular group does it, embarrassing

One source (Not the greatest outlet -- The Truth About Cars -- but the article quotes a former EDR engineer at Ford who now consults and says Porsche does not install EDRs in its cars.)

Also, Page 107 in this source by the same consultant states the same thing.

It's a common assumption among Porschephiles that the cars don't have full IIHS-approved EDRs. But they do have extensive data-logging capability. The Paul Walker crash (and others) proved that.
