$770, $0 down, 36 months, 12K miles/year.
Remember: Audi lease numbers for A3/S3/RS3 are bad I am writing off all my payments as business expense so

WOW, that's pretty high for RS3. Must be way overloaded with packages . I pay less than that on my 2018 M4 Competition on 2 years lease

I am sure this contributes to the S and RS cars having slightly better resale values and being rarer than M cars... neither of which is a bad thing.

True. Audi S and Audi RS are rarer vehicles on the road...Which I prefer

It's somewhat official as it's a port installed option. It's not an option that you can tick on the Audi website, but your dealer can. If your dealer orders it that way, then the sound enhancing kit will appeared on the Window Monroney sticker as an option - It's listed as a $350 option on the sticker. You can certainly get the kit for less, but will have to pay for installation, which will even it out. It's definitely worth the $350 for the enhanced sound alone, don't get me wrong; but it irks me a bit that I have to pay extra to have something taken away - a thing that all Porsche owners are well familiar with

Test drove a S3 P+ this morning and here is my feedback:
-love the interior, especially with the super sport seats. They definitely sit a little bit lower as compared to the standard leather seats which i tested back to back. Both equally comfortable from an initial point of view. -the cabin design is better than the golf R in my opinion. Love the digital cockpit, and perforated flat bottom steering wheel -I found disruption in the chassis when hitting larger bumps; reminded me of a solid rear axle. The chassis is firm even in comfort mode. -exterior look and size is absolutely perfect for me. -I didn't like that my leg would touch the rocker panel every time I stepped out. In the winter with salt/snow, I wont like this even more. -Love DSG transmissions, ever since my first B8 S4 - this one is good too. -the engine isn't bad, but I miss the B58 engine in my previous M240i. Acceleration was so effortless. -My test drive car was equipped with the resonator delete option, this is a must must have. I'm torn. Definitely like the car but i'm having a tough time making a decision. Is it good enough to replace a X3 M40i? I don't know. The price is about $100/mo less expensive than the X3; which is in the higher end of 600's; however, i'm not sure the value equates to near $700/mo. There are a lot of nice cars out there near $700/mo. The one car that is game over for me is the G20 M340i which launches next summer. I'm open to comments / questions. Would you give up a fully loaded X3 M40i for an Audi S3 and $100 less expensive? FYI- 18 S3 production is complete and 19 production will start in a month or two. As far as the engine, yes a 4 banger will always be a 4 banger... however it's the best of its kind. Last, your questions is very open ended... I think those are completely different vehicles and one must decide on what he wants. |

Lease rates much have changed for the worse on these since last year when I negotiated the deal on ours. I paid normal drives offs (first payment, registration) and payment is $490+tax. We have a Premium Plus trim with Black Optic and normal options, sticker was about $53k.

Where are these M3/M4 deals coming from? Lowest I have seen was $800s. Does yours have competition pkg & executive pkg + auto trans? All must haves for me.

DD the M3 until you can grab a RS3 and buy one from an early lease return. Or just DD the M3. BMWs by definition are daily drivers.

Aside from that, I have both the R and my 335i and I love the R. I bought it below MSRP before it even arrived at the dealer so unless you live in LA or something there are deals to be had. AWD, 0-60 in the mid 4's with DSG, easily tunable into the high 3's, 30 mpg on the highway, still offered in a manual if you want it, practicability of a hatch, and in my area they are pretty rare. A3's and S3's are as ubiquitous as 3 series used to be around here. That said, I'd take an RS3 in a heartbeat. |

There are some FWD cars that had solid rear axles like the Nissan Maxima for a while. I owned one for a while and the handling was strange because the rear end did react differently than the front.

Probably never gonna sway this crowd, but I drive these cars on a daily basis. I would rather get a base model GTI as it’s just not that much different once you do the usual mods. The RS3 is the only MQB that feels different than the rest, and I wouldn’t say it’s a drivers car it just has gobs of power, sounds great, and comes with real leather.
