Suzuki Cappuccino

My son in-law is in the Navy and his sub is in dry dock in San Diego, so he asked me to drive his Cappuccino today while he is off-island. It's a small 5-spd RHD 2 seater Kei-Car powered by a 3 cyl turbocharged engine @ 64hp.

All I can say is WOW! what a fun car! It was the first time I drove a manual RHD car, so that part was a bit of a challenge at first but after a few miles I got the hang of it. This little thing actually has some torque! Was like riding a go-cart when I was a kid... Had me grinning from ear to ear by the time I got home from the short drive.

Sometimes it's not about he horsepower...

Ha. It's a Miataita!

Actually, it's frequently not all about the horsepower. Suzuki knows this better than almost anyone because of its motorcycles.

Yes, small cars are fun to drive and seem to be more tossable even if they don't have a lot of power, which is why I love the 135is. I was somewhat younger when I was stationed overseas for eight years in Europe. Lots of small cars, so you kind of get used to it. I really don't like big cars. Especially in a city environment. It's much easier to maneuver, find parking, get down narrow streets etc.

Okay, where's the reference to Starbucks. Asked for a Suzuki Cappuchino, and they thought I was crazy.
