AWE Axleback VS Remus Axleback?

I'm torn between these two

If you are planning to have a high flow catted downpipe paired with these, which would be your choice? And is a RES Delete recommended? (I currently do not like my muffler delete, kind of makes the car feel "cheap", especially at 3-4.5k rpm in sport mode and don' t want to do the same mistake)

My current set up is a catless downpipe, and muffler delete and I will be getting high flow catted dp and either stock muffer or one of these Axlebacks

I saw a video from inline six auto on youtube and he had a high flow catted downpipe, res delete and he mentioned not too much drone.

Just wanted to see what others thoughts

Catted downpipe + REMUS exhaust is an excellent combo

IMO, AWE "looks" better (larger tips, thin walled if you like that style) ... but Remus "sounds" better (no drone, nice deep clean tone)

You can buy the Remus Muffler without tips It's pretty cheap too. That would be the best vote.

Does the base Remus come with a connection to the stock midpipe? The image on the site shows just a box - tips are Separate. But is there a short section of pipe on the rear? Is that box a dual exhaust muffler? It looks like a single tip (M235i)

the connection tube for tips is part of the tips and not the muffler
so if you only get the muffler, you must fabricate the pipes for the tips

I have the AA Catted Hi Flow DP, AWE Touring axleback with their res delete performance midpipe.

After install I found that with the res delete the car was hella loud esp. during cold start - a little too loud for my likes or my neighbors

So I ended up installing an aftermarket resonator in the AWE midpipe & now the sound is perfect

So in hindsight, I could have saved $$ & just used my stock midpipe with the res but it's all an iteration with me till I find that sweet spot

I went thru (3) exhaust systems till I got to the AWE & it has been my favorite & a keeper

Of course I purchased the AWE & AA DP from Mike @ XPH
