Thinking about ordering a white x6...
I was thinking about ordering a white x6 5.0
I want to ask you guys if i could negotiate with the dealer with the x6 on custom order. Some people said that i don't have a good chance of negotiating with the dealer because it a custom order car, it not in the showroom. Is that true? |

Even on a custom order you can negotiate the price!
Unless it's a pre-configured car that the dealership has sitting in the lot (which was a custom build car for the dealership), then your car would automatically be a custom order.

+1 xdrive is correct, if you check this forum (lot of reading) you will find some folks were able to negotiate, some on price others on options. Some parts of the country (USA) dealers have waiting list and not as inclined to negotiate. But car dealers are in the business of selling cars, so go for it. |

you from texas?? its harder to negotiate with a custom order because the dealers want to push the cars that they have on the lot so they can make their money back/profit... unless they have no 50i's sitting at the dealership, which is the case at most dallas area dealerships. I'm ordering mine through a friend from a different state and his reason for giving me a good deal on it is that im taking one off their quota that they have to hit every year... what specs you looking at for the order? |

Nezo makes a good point, 50i's harder to find sitting on the lot.
Was going to do a search on google maps for Richardson, wondered where it is. Some day Texas is a country i will have to visit. |

Thank everyone for the quick reply. Yup, I'm in Texas. As for my build:
X6 xDrive50i Twin-turbo direct injection V-8 xDrive, intelligent all-wheel-drive Base MSRP Alpine White Sand Beige Nevada Leather Ash grain wood trim Cold Weather Package Premium Package Premium Sound Package Rear Climate Package Sport Package Comfort Access system Rear-view camera Destination & Handling: I heard that the running board is making everyone's pant dirty. They found a 50i in the dealer's lot but it doesn't have the sport package. Is sport package is really necessary? |

I think you should get the sport package. Best thing to do would be to go to your dealership and drive the same car with and without the sport package and see what you like best! Sometimes I wonder who at these dealerships decides what options to order for a particular car when they put them onto their lots!?!

no problem bro! But I guess I should have given a reason to justify my answer huh? My thinking is that you have to negotiate before you place your order because you have to put down a deposit that is not refundable and if you don't know how much it is exactly costing you, you might not want to commit....

Yup, the x6 have mostly every I need but that one have a white leather interior. I am looking for a sand beige, the white leather will get dirty very quickly with jeans I mostly wear.

If you are worried about the leather getting dirty, I am afraid you will have the same problem with beige.. The only option would be to take something dark like chateau or black.. I have had grey on my first e60 - it was a PITA to keep clean...
