Udate BMW Site for x6M

I'm curious when we'll be able to see the x6M as a "Build Your Own" on the BMW site.

I assumed they would wait for the official unveiling - now that's done I just wondered when we might be to play with it.

I figure that will take a few more month if they are only offering the car for sale starting in October?!?

Yeah, you're right.

I thought about that later - after all if I was build my own, I would expect to be able to purchase it. Of course not everyone, buys a new car after doing a "Build your own" but BMW would assume that a person would want to.

Would be interesting to know just how many 'build your own' configurations the online system processes and how many actual orders come out of it... Wonder if they keep statistics from their configuration system that helps them on future model/options offering decisions?

That's a good question. I'll bet it runs something like 1,000,000:1 - LOL.

My 50i showed up about two weeks before I was able to order it in BYO.

I would assume that the X5M and X6M will go on sale at the same time here as it was announced in the UK (October 24th). If they are going to make the BYO feature available within the same time frame as previously with the X6, we could expect to see the X5M and X6M BYO online system go live around the 2nd week of October?!?

Now just waiting for the official date when these models will go on sale in North America and what the official pricing will be...
