Max torque in D,S and M?!
Anybody got its hands on maps of the max. torque at what RPM in each driver mode? Don't just tell me "go to 4000 RPM in D,S,M mode and you are fine". There's got to be a difference. .between gas and diesel.

All things the same, the amount of torque output from the engine will not change from gear to gear. Peak torque for the 35i, 50i, and X6M comes at 1400, 1800, and 1500 RPM, respectively - put the engine at that RPM and smash the throttle to feel the torque. The lower the gear, the more your 'butt-meter' will register.

apparently someone doesn't exactly know what he bought and need some education check out this graph for the n54 engine torque shown in red the basic advantage of these new engines found throughout the X6 range is that the max peek torque is found at lower RPMs than the usual and continues all the way to around 5000RPMs (for the 35i) rather than having the max at high RPMs in what is so called "high revving engines" that BMW is known to build (the one in the e9X M3) and here's the graph for the M3 to compare (by PencilGeek) as you can see the torque curve doesn't have that straight line the turbo engine does check out the torque graph for your engine and you will be surprised to find out that the curves looks quite similar to the one shown above with slightly different numbers hope that you got the idea

Turbo Boost
Thanx for the graph info.
Do you know at what engine rpm the turbo boost pressure reaches max. ? Is it 1400 rpm & stays at max. until gas pedal is released?? |

I think that has to do with air pressure and temperature alongside your gas pedal. the e9X forum is full of answers if you really want to know your turbo engine well
