Shift Paddles/reprogramming

Hi,
would anybody know if one (who?) could reprogram or reassign the (odd) shift paddle characteristic on my new 50i such that they have the same action as in the M-models: pull right (+) = shift up, and pull left (-) = shift down. No more push/pull on both paddles. No more confusion with other models.
Thanks for your help and advice.
Cheers,
M-TomTom.
