To me, sports has always been a conduit to get away from the daily stresses of school/work and the polarized news media and politics/social issues. Over the past 3-4 years it has become fashionable to mix sports and politics and it's ticking off a lot of people like myself. It just seems to get worse and worse every year. ESPN is the worst offender, it is no wonder their ratings keep falling lower and lower. They are going the way of MTV, and the only thing left tuning into there is live sports and College Gameday (excellent show btw).

Just do the job you are paid to do under your contract, and go protest for whatever social cause you want in your personal time. I find it asinine how the NFL has such strict rules for the cleats players wear and stickers and their helmets, but permits spoiled privileged washed up Kaeperd*ck to disrespect the country and polarize fans.
