Glad you're alright. Terrible to take a hit like that, but hopefully it turns around and you end up with a new project. Hope you heal up quick! Let us know how it goes.

Its official. Total Loss. $19k in repairs just to exterior parts without breaking the car down. Shes off to the salvage yard.
Now the fun part is to fight with his insurance to pay for my aftermarket parts.

You been with the insurance company long? Usually they take care of one term customers. Hope they don't hassle you. Maybe some stuff can be pulled also, but that would be a huge PITA.
Don't want to jump ahead too fast, but...What's next? F85? |

Not sure yet. Part of me is saying save a bunch of money and go with another e70 (2013, white, loaded), part of me is saying F85.... part of me is saying get away from this heavily depreciating unreliable vehicle and get something like an SRT jeep. Little slow, doesnt handle as good... but lots more technology and amenities with more cargo and better towing abilities. If the speed really became and issue I could get the whipple kit and be pushing 750 to the wheels for about $7k.

I would also like to know what their salvage value is on it, if you're able to share.
Sorry to see it go down like that, but luckily you are OK. If insurance doesn't reimburse you for the upgrades, they will usually let you remove the parts that can be unbolted, especially if you have the oem parts to leave with the car. |
