Winter Setup - X5 M-Sport with anthracite painted style 214s

Just wanted to post this up, haven't seen to many photos of Style 214s painted anthracite / gunmetal.

Actual paint color is: slate gray metallic from Porsche

I think it turned out pretty nice, loving the color and high gloss.
Was going to do a satin/semi-gloss finish, but painter suggested that the high gloss would last longer, satin tends to become matte pretty quick.

Sorry for the crappy photos, I'll get some decent day ones when i can, but wanted to share.

Mate, that looks really good! I'm glad you went with the high gloss; I think it looks much better. I remember the Natty's stuff. When I first got into detailing, I used quite a few of their products. I think it was called Natty's Blue or something.

How much did you pay to get them painted?

Thanks, I have some natty blue as well, for bang for buck in a wax, it's very very solid wax, sometimes I'll stack that on top of some decent sealant for an extra pop.

As far as cost, I don't really know, I didn't get a bill, I trade some work with a place. But paint is normally a bit cheaper then powder coat. I'd guess $300-400 all in, strip/paint/mount/balance.

for the grills, it came like that so I didn't need to do anything.
