Got the wheel today and installed it. It was plug and play on my 2011 M Sport. It looks great...thanks for the fast shipping!

Thank you Andres

Paddle Shifters

If your vehicle did not come equipped with paddle shifters, do plugs exist in the steering column to activate the paddle shifters. I have a 2014 F15 with a plain wheel equipped with cruise control controls on left side and radio, multi-media, and verbal command controls on the right. Do you have access to an M-wheel that could accommodate thosefeatures?

Hi, I'm afraid I didn't understand the first part of your post: "If your vehicle did not come equipped with paddle shifters, do plugs exist in the steering column to activate the paddle shifters." can you please clarify?

I'll check on the F15 M Sport wheel and will get back to you. if by M-wheels you mean X5 M, AFAIK those will be available only after the new F15 X5 M vehicle is released.

I agree . I couldn't have asked for better customer service. The packaging really protected the steering wheel. It arrived at my home in 2 days and is in perfect brand new condition.

Thanks guys

As a customer I'm usually on the other side of the transaction, so when I have the opportunity to be the seller I try in all possible ways to provide the kind of service I'd like to receive. After all when we pay for something, we are supposed to receive an excellent service and/or product... unfortunately in many cases that's not what happens.

Now we need to see some pics!

Received mine last week, and installed it yesterday. 2011 M Sport 50i, plug & play, flappy-paddle's engaged! Now I'm paddling all day long, like Forrest Gump in a ping pong tourney.

DR1er, it's great that you can help other X5 owners upgrade their steering wheels. If you do this again in the future, is it possible to include airbag and cover for those of us who have the standard wheel?

If you don't have an M Sport wheel you'd also have to source an airbag module, which I believe is part #32306780476

you can find them on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/151254477718?lpid=82

Unfortunately I don't have access to airbags at the moment.

That ^ or if you are brave enough (or dumb enough... like me), check out this thread I started at the "other" forum:

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=743929

It was pretty easy to do. I got the sport airbag cover at Ebay... you save a couple hundred bucks but specially get the right to laugh at the guys who always say "can't be done"

for me it worked just fine, but proceed at your own risk!
