I was watching this ebay. Was def interested. Carbon Black/Black Merino is my top choice. But considering the distance of having to ship or fly in and drive back adding on another $1K and the accident, once it went over $45K, I was out. Surprised the dealer gave as much as they did and even more surprised they only marked it up $4K opposed to some dealers marking up $7K or even $10K. Market is kinda flooded. But pricing still remains high.

I looked up what the 2010 X5Ms with this mileage were bringing on Manheim before I traded it in. They are going for $40-45k.
They started by offering me $38k... once they test drove it and saw how clean it was they slowly kept bumping their offer. They gave me $9k off MSRP on the new car. |

Huh? I was just looking at a 2011 with 47K mi at a used car dealer asking $47K, that was previously from an auction. Assuming that went for $40-$42K, how did the 2010 go for the same? I'm passing on it because it only has 7 months of warranty left and I'd prob sell by then or a few months after. Thinking I should spend a few K more and get one with more warranty so I can resell it later.

Well, this would be BMW #8, the last one being a CB e39 M5. There is no better BMW color than carbon black. I will definitely be giving them a call tomorrow. Just so I can tell how many miles the GM has driven it, do you remember how many miles it had when you traded it? Also, did you give them your service history or do you still have it?

$44,895 right now! You have to think about it from a complete deal perspective though. They made money off the SRT8 the OP bought, and even if they lose a bit of money on the trade in (or break even on it), it's not the end of the world for the dealership. As long as you finance it, they can eat least make up for it a little bit on the back end. Don't offer them $40K cash, haha...

I was there last Monday getting a software update on the SRT8. The general manager was still driving it. It has been on their lot 13 weeks now! I wonder when they will take it to auction?

Now 41995. MMR on that car is showing 41200, others with slightly different VINs are showing 38200 - 41100. If it grades at Above (which of course it should!) now you're in 42-44 territory. Don't see why they don't just send it off at this point.
