does anyone have a picture or instruction on how to get the back plastic engine cover off ?

Trying to swap/check o2 sensors

Hey man...where do you live? Are you going to Bimmerfest? If you are close by me...Oakton, we could get together and figure out how to get the cover off. Maybe document it for our brethren.

Just pull on it and it will come loose.

There are four plastic pins on the cover (one on each corner) that insert into rubber grommets. Just carefully pull up on a corner and work your way around.
Be careful not to lose the rubber grommets. I lost one and it cost $0.75 to eplace at the BMW dealer. Parts dude said he'd never sold a OEM BMW part that cheap!
