Question Modifications ? Software upgrade ?

Dear Forum members

I have two questions.

1-I want to put the bright white Lamps /LEDs to my 2011 X5, but I was told by the dealer that any mod other than the factory stuff will void my warranty. Is that true?

2- The X5s that are produced after 04/11 have the new BMW app thing( face book, Pandora, A2DP Bluetooth audio streaming etc.) Is there any way I can get that in my car like a software upgrade. I got that in 2010. Has anyone done that in the forum.

Thanks

1 - ANY MODIFICATION WILL VOID BMW Warranty. That being said, they have to prove that the modification caused whatever failed in your car. So if you replace the LED's and your brakes stop working, they can't deny you warranty work. But if you replace your LED's and something electrical stops working (ie. navigation, brake lights, amp) they could hypothetically claim your LED's drew too much or too little power and fried your electrical system.. (BS I KNOW) but that's how they operate...

2 - i don't know... can't help there.
