New Rims, Flat Tire Malfunction

Hello all,

I recently bought new rims for my 07 x5. The new rims were take offs from a 2010 X5. The rims came with tires on them.

After I put them on my car, and driving for 5 min, a flat tire warning came on. It advised me to drive cautiously.

As a result, I went to a gas station to check the air pressure, there was no problems. There are no problems physically to the naked eye when I inspected the wheels upon receiving the shipment.

Do you guys think that it has to do with the TPMS sensors? Is there a way to calibrate the new ones onto my car's system?

Thanks, the warning is really bugging me.

Hi, have you reset the tire pressure monitor in your iDrive?

Reset the TPMS in iDrive. If it doesn't work after a couple tries, chances that the wheels don't have TPMS sensors in them.

Ok, I have reset my TPMS. The strange thing is that it took less than 10 seconds to reset. I didn't have to drive anywhere.

Is this normal?
