Don't worry about diagnosing it. That's why we have warranties on these cars. Take it in, enjoy driving a rental, and go on your merry way.

Whether it's a large repair or a small one, does not matter. Warranty covers it all!

Dealer said transmission oil leak .suspect torque converter seal or front pump seal , they said they need to remove transmission to investigate .they said it is easy job with the equipment that they have .
Can any one who knows about these stuff tell me ,Is it really easy job ? is it some thing that need to be worry about down the road? Can technician mess up with transmission and connecting it back to engine ?
I bought the car and plan to keep so ....

Thanks

Man, I hope they fix it up for you. I used to have a 745 with a persistent oil leak, the dealership attempted to repair it five times, but it kept dripping oil on my driveway til the day I got rid of it.

Thanks all , I traded in the car with identical one and the dealer absorbed most of the cost . it was 2013 , 5000 K on it . I am not sure it is some thing popular in 2012-2013 X5 or mine was a bad luck. Can you please comment if you had oil lead in 2011+ bmw X5
