07 4.8 navigation

Is there anyway to get the navigation on my x5? I figured all I\'d need is like the software to get the navigation on it. Since iv got the screen. Is there more to it then just the cd. Am I pretty much stuck with no navigation since my car didn\'t come with the package?

You'll need a new screen (requires the wider one), new CIC unit, and since you're doing all this, you'll probably want the new iDrive on 2009 cars so a new remote trim piece too. Followed by that, you'll need coding. Accessories like Combox optional. Easily over 3k.

Don't worry. I have it and I can tell you you're not missing much. It's annoying to use.

The NAV is nice, but definitely not worth the cost of doing it after the fact. Garmin and TomTom are making very nice units, and then there is also the fact that the most up to date maps are being provided by cell phones nowadays.
