Link Driver and Passenger Climate?

I use the center passenger vent to direct more air flow to me when I am alone in my X5. Anyone know if it is possible to link the passenger climate control temp to the driver temp control? Other cars I've owned would default to linking those zones unless the passenger zone was changed with it's control (thus telling the vehicle there is a passenger in the car).

Thanks!

Crap! Didn't think so. Even my old Trailblazer did this! An oversight I'm sure.. maybe in a future software update..

My 5 series and new X3 both have this option, but my newest X5M does not. I think it's just an older design, the new cars already have the button called "all" which allows one knob to control everything. It's coming in the future

I actually figured this out yesterday ... Terms below are loose (can't remember the correct terms)

Vehicle Settings -> Climate -> Rear Climate Control (something like this) -> There should be an option to set the rear climate to the same as driver climate.

Yep, saw that for the rear. I'm looking to set the front passenger the same as the driver.

Good to know. For our existing cars, hopefully they can add it to the idrive control as a software update. I'm going to call BMW assist and inquire..

Can't do it on the X5. It's not about the older design as my E90 3 series had the "all" button. I just change the passenger to match when I am alone in the car. I like symmetry!
