I paid $3,250 for 5 years/100k miles when I got my car. My aftermarket warranty is from AUL. One of well known guys in CA. As my local BMW dealer sell AUL warranty, I don't think I will have any issue servicing my ride at the dealership.

Covers almost everything including electrical/navigation etc. Deductible is $100/visit.

While I was searching the aftermarket extended warranty, I learned a few things:

1. You have to buy it from reputable company who will be in the business when you need it. (if company goes under, basically, you lose warranty).

2. The warranty company must have their business license in your state.

3. Most of warranty company will NOT sell you warranty if you have: M or AMG etc. of known high performance cars.

Sorry to revive an old thread but i was wondering if anyone had the price list for the extended BMW Warranty? The full factory warranty on my 2016 X5M will be coming to a close at the end of the year.

I called my dealer, they basically quoted me $7K per year, LOL. And that was on a 2010 X5M.

It would be less for a 2016 model

You're probably right. But, I called them about 2 years ago. And, It's definitely not worth it at $7K/ year. I've had a lot of things go wrong in my X5M, in the 2 years that I've owned it, but not $14K worth, that's for sure! The only thing I might be worried about is the motor itself, but that's a rare occurence.
