*Update - See my latest post today, 11/28.
I called my dealer to ask about the injector recall, and they told me that there is no recall but that there is only an extended warranty for 10 years/120k miles. So it sounds like I have to be experiencing issues to get the injectors replaced. Does anyone know why I am being told that there is no recall and only an extended warranty? I called BMW USA and was told the same thing. |

So after my vehicle was at the dealer all day my SA told me tonight that they checked the injectors and have to talk to the "BMW technical service department" tomorrow to see if the injectors are good or need replacement. I know for a fact that my injectors are index 08 (I checked them myself), and I thought that anything lower than index 11 get replaced. Anyone have any idea whether my SA's claim is legit and what my chances are of getting approval from BMW for replacement?

Yep, free of charge under the recall. Gas mileage went up about 3-4 mpg, but that's the only real difference I've noticed. At least I don't have to worry about them crapping out anymore (hopefully).
