Diesel question
My bone stock 13 35d had given my 190k trouble free miles.
I'm now getting limp mode occasionally, related to the egr. Already cleaned it, didn't really help. Getting ready to delete it, and I can't seem to find out how to determine if my car has swirl flaps. I have read contradicting information online that said BMW discontinued those, while others mention that they have bought the swirl flap delete plates for their X5s. Will I need swirl flap delete for my us spec 13? Can't wait to get back on the road without worrying about limp (scary!). Thanks

Yes you will need to buy a delete kit if you want to get rid of them. I've not heard of anyone in the US opening up their intake manifold to find it absent of swirl flaps.
Mine is a 2012 and I had swirl flaps. |
