Should I pull the trigger tonight? 72k

Guys,
This is going to be my first BMW, so I am not really sure how BMW's dealer work.
Anyway, it was snowing here in Chicago land, and I had a test drive last night. The x6 I tested was....... amazing. Specially test driving in Snow.

The dealer is offering the following for me. I want to know if its a good deal, and good option. I am not sure weather some of this option is needed or not.

Base: 55,500.00
Vent. Seat Package: 2100.00
Cold Weather Package: 1250.00
Premium Pack: 2200.00
Premium Sound: 2000.00
Rear Climate Pack: 900
Sport Pack: 3700.00
Tech Pack: 2000.00
Comfort access: 1000.00
Soft Close door: 600.00
HUD:1200.00

The whole thing MSRP at 73725.00
and they are offering me $71.775.00 (Include Destination charge).

What do you guys think?

Thank

I can't wait to be part of the XBimmer family!

Pull trigger?

Unless u r buying rare collectible ( e.g. @ Barrett Jackson's)
an automobile is a depreciating asset. So i think u can affford to bargain w/ ur dealer abit these days. I think w/ the xception of the very few top/rare models e.g. mb slr Stirling Moss, top bmw m series, porsche/ferraris, the dealers need ur business more than u need to test their warranty! As any manufactured product have glitches. I'm sure u've read some of the threads on this site.
So bargain with them.
It is intoxicating how the x6 handles for a 5000lb sac/suv.
Make sure u get the adaptive drive by itself or in one of the option pkgs. Front Infrared sensor would be good 2 if it's available in x6.

Talking

dmlgc:
Yes, it is very tempting....The car is already build and it is sitting in dealer's lot.

If a car sales man's job is to sales a car, then I guess my job is to buy her (x6) without feeling like an Idiots Meaning I don't want to believe everything he said, the guy told me there is 50+waitlist for his dealer. (And I saw 5 X6 in the lot) He would only take 1500 dollars off (I didn't bargain hard)

Does the 20" comes with all season tires? And how many of you actually have the new Spare tire option?

I'm not sure if the PDC comes standard on US models or if it's part of a package and if so, what package it is included in.

The PDC uses ultrasonic sound waves not infrared light to measure distances to objects!

Are you going to the BMW dealership in the City or in the outlying suburbs? I live in the City and opted to do the Performance Delivery Program through a west suburban dealership (much more knowledgeable and service oriented).

BTW - what color is it? I am assuming it is the 35i...

Its white, and I am getting it in west Suburbs too, I went to Patrick, is that the one you go to?

and yes, i am getting the X6 - 35i, how much do you have to pay for the Performance delivery program?

What production date are you waiting on? I am struggling here, don't know weather i should take the bite now (2k off MSRP) or wait till the 2010 mode for the new Idrive

I went through Westmont BMW. I highly recommend the Performance Delivery Program. Feel free to email me (dmcab@sbcglobal.net). We can discuss offline. I picked-up my vehicle in early December.

The PDC comes as standard on the US X6 (or did last year). Adaptive drive comes standard as part of the Sports Package.

youngien - the deal sounds reasonable but they will likely go further if you really go in there and get serious about buying. If they have 5 on the lot then you have some more leverage - you will always get a better deal by buying a car in dealer inventory than placing a factory order. I bought from Bill Jacobs and they were pretty good too.

Cheers, Anteater

Are you 100% sure that yours are all-season tires?

Every brochure and document I've looked at so far indicated that the 20" sport package wheels had summer performance tires on those rims (style 214 or 259)!

Thank you for your advice.
after another round of trying to get a better deal, i was able to get 2k off MSRP... was trying for 3k. No go...
The guy at patrick is asking 400 dollar for installing the Side step board, which i think is a big rip off.

Any of you tried DYI?

I meant night vision infrared earlier.
Trying to change 19/20" wheels on the side of the road is no fun!
I'd stick w/ runflats, but get wheel & tire warranty.

I had asked many times and contacted a lot of different people about the night vision camera feature on the X6. This goes back to June/July of last year. The German, International and a whole bunch of other BMW websites had originally listed the Night Vision Camera as a safety feature. After I had contacted BMW direct, they told me that the night vision system was NOT available for the X6 and shortly thereafter, the night vision camera safety feature was removed from all those websites I had listed as reference during my correspondence with them.
I was quite disappointed.

The Marketing people keep making it confusing/difficult to buy, I'm not sure what the difference is btween Rear Climate Pkg. & Cold Weather Pkg. (?)
There wasn't any Cold weather/climate pkg in my brochure just Rear Climate pkg: 4 zone climate control & Heated rear seats.

He's in the US, you (and so am I) are in Canada.

They have different packages than we do. And even if the package is called the same, they may have different options included in each. Marketing also likes to change the options included with each package from year to year (as well as the pricing)...
