Years that a fuel injected V8 is/was an option
I have been trying to buy a used BMW X5 without a turbo with little success.
When (what year) did a turbocharged V8 become the only V8 option? Finder01 |

I have come to understand that the second generation X5's (2007-2013) are the last to have a non-turbocharged V8. But I don't know if that carried all the way to 2013. I am looking hard for one without a turbocharger.

Turbo V8s for the X5 are 2011 2012 and 2013. 2014 Model Year was the newer body style F15.
The X6 I think had the turbo V8 one year earlier but i'm not sure on that. |

In 2011 BMW re-badged the V8 from a 4.8i to an xDrive50i - this has the N63 twin-turbo motor, same as 2012 & 2013 model years. The 2011-2013 also had other updates as these are considered the LCI (life cycle impulse, otherwise known as mid-life updates) models. The other major change for 2011+ was the new 8 speed automatic, vs. the 6 speed in the 2007-2010. Lots of cosmetic updates too, notably body painted bumpers instead of black. |

If you want to looking for a E70:
-2007-2010 (4.8i should be the best for you with V8 without Turbo) *Don't take the 30si -2011-2013 (35i should be the best for you with L6 TwinTurbo) *Don't take the 50i *** The V8 at 2011-2013 are TwinTurbo (50i)
