X6M or M3? help me out

Hello all. I'v ordered an alpine white X6M way back in oct 2009. due to various reasons, the car is still not delivered. Fortunately, i was notified that the car is finished and will be delivered shortly. For the longest time i've craved for the x6m; however, when i saw a brand new M3 at the dealership today, my stance sort of shifted. The M3 is also alpine white, CF roof, 19" black rims etc. The M3 can be picked up literally right away... where i have to wait for around two more weeks for the X6M. Should i wait? or just go for the M3?

What are you needs? Do you have more than one car now? Both are nice vehicles. The M3 will be more fun and save you some serious money.

Decisions decisions.

If speed & handling are all u want m3.
If u want to have taller ride height & Coupe style as well u should wait.
Only other contender is x5M ! Trade ur '06 x5 !

Both X6M and M3 are super car but they have different functions and characteristics. It's really depend on your need, if you have X5 and not willing to trade then just get the M3. If you drive M3 then you will know that M3 is different car with sportier characteristic compare to X6M, therefore no matter how powerful X6M is, you just cannot get the feel of the M3 sportiness.

I agree with Andrew... both are very capable and a ton of fun. If you want a more command seating position and more capacity for "stuff" then X6M is better. I am constantly amazed at how well the X6M performs.. it really is like a sports car than an "SUV." One thing, if you go M3, do the coupe!

Sorry I should have looked more closely. If you already have an SUV and a big sedan buy the M3. It will round out your choices and save you some cash.
The X6M would be good if you were wanting to consolidate your vehicles and just have one.

I have recenly owned both the X6 and E92. The E92 is stupendous in terms of engineering, value, styling. Definately could be a daily driver, and, despite what others claim, the seat is just about as comfy as the 5 series and X6. The exiliration you get from the X6 tt v8 is pretty close to the power of the E92.

Either car would be great. I plan to keep my X6 after the lease, and maybe buy an M3 or GT-R as a garage queen.
