This is a lot more confusing than I thought It would be.

I connected the car my PC and I just do not know what to do next.

I can not find a step by step guide to do what I need.

First, How do I back up my original coding so if I mess something up I can restore it?

I only want to code a few things.

1. Mirrors to fold in when I lock the car with remote (no comfort access)

2. Video in motion

3. Seat Belt Chime

4. Fog lights to constantly stay on

5. All doors to unlock when car is turned off

this is as far as I got before I got scared to mess something up

In the E-Sys.rar package were several Coding Guides.

Coding backup is not needed as you can easily rest ECU by VO Coding it.

Glad to know I do not need to backup.

I have read the coding guides and just attempted to code again. Changed a few codes, saved. It loaded into the car. But everything that I changed had no effect to the car.

Edit: I think I know why it had no effect. Will Try again tomorrow morning

You need to select CAFD and then Code FDL, not ECU then Code.

speed correction

What I cant get to work:
hvac to not turn on
five blinks instead of three
Seat belt dongs (the most important thing i want off)
side view mirrors to close when locking car with key fob
gps clock
fog lights to be auto on with head lights

problem:

while trying to code hvac not not auto turn on when the car starts now I cant turn it off at all??

not sure what the original values should be?

edit: restarted the car and it started turning off,

Still interested to know what the values should be and how to keep it off when starting the car

I'm having an issue with getting the dealership to honor a promise that they'd refund me for initializing a new ComfortAccess key to my car (bought as CPO, they only gave me one key...)

Am I able to take matters into my own hands, and program the key myself using the software and ENET cable? Not sure how much of a risk it is, considering I'm supposed to get the service for free at a dealership anyway.

To be clear, I have a brand new ComfortAcess key (cut for my car) and fob that was shipped to me... but the remote functions and ComfortAccess don't work. I tried holding the key up to my steering column and starting the car, but it didn't work. The dealership from whom I bought the car said they'll pay for it to get programmed, but they're having trouble arranging it with my local dealership and want me to front the money first. If it's easy and relatively low-risk to try to program it myself using the software, I'll do it myself and avoid the hassle.

The car is a 2014 F34 (335 GT)
