2nd CEL in 2 weeks
Alright, the x5 has currently been throwing fits of rage at me for no reason. I’ve recently (3 months) replaced the EGR valve and cooler, and just 2 weeks ago I replaced the MAP sensor. Everything was smooth running, but today I’ve got codes p0101, Air Mass Performance, and p0401 EGR flow codes. Any ideas? Bad MAF sensor? Torn vacuum line to the EGR?

Check out the North American BMW diesel owners group on facebook, there is a lot more technical stuff there to search through and post if you dont find something relevant in your search.
You might get roasted for not having the proper BMW codes, theyll recommend getting Bimmergeeks protools or a handheld scanner that specifically works with BMWs (some kind of foxwell probably). If you're going to be working on the car its almost a must have anyway. |

Probably a torn vacuum line or a boost leak. I had the same code (not a P code because c'mon, man!) for a MAF issue when I had some small boost leaks. I fixed those and it went away.
