245/35R20 fitment

Hi all. quick question. Would a 245/35R20 tire fit on my standard X5M rims? Its got a 275/40R20 on there right now. I guess its like an inch difference but does that matter?

Thanks

Yes that matters. You do realize the rears are different, right? They all need to be roughly the same diameter or you will fuck up your transfer case.

Why would you want to put such a small tire on it anyway??

Ya, the rears are 315/35/20 or there abouts. I'm talking replacing the fronts with 245/35. I see that the 275's overlap about 1/3 of an inch on each side of the rim, so I guess that would make the 245's about 1/6" in from the wheel on each side after mounting them. I just wanted them for winters. I think it would work tho? I think the fronts are the 10" X 20" rims. Just cause I saw an awesome deal for winter tires, but in that size (245/35 front, 315/35 rears.). Not sure how that actually works, if the side wall would stretch a bit when the tire beads properly? or if it would bead properly?

Also, I go through tires every 6 months, I'm not kidding as the ones on now were brand new 7 months ago, and they are down to the white cords, so I can't risk it separating, like it did b4 when I waited too long. I drive it insanely hard, and do stunts with the thing, lol. So, I know I'm going to chew up the tires pretty quickly, and I need winters, as it's starting to snow here now.

I was praying that they would fit, but I think tire guys probably will just guess at it and say maybe it will work, maybe it won't as they probably couldn't tell until they mount it, I'm guessing.
