Well, you're pretty much back to my original question, kind of
I asked what time it takes from assigned prod. week to actually getting the car from dealer Is there step-by-step time line for each step from order to delivery? Or at least from assigned prod week an on |

When i call the 800#, automated; it tells me that completion date is April 20th. When I speak to a live person, they are telling me that the car is in the paint shop. How it can be finish tomorrow if the car is in the paint shop today??? Yesterday it was telling me that completion date is 21st and today 20th??? My CA also told me that it takes up to two weeks to get the car from the factory. He says that all cars leave factory by train to a port of entry, in my case NYC; and it might take up to a week to load all finished cars on a train. Then they get unload at the port of entry and are being deliver to the dealer on a truck.

LMAO ! Its so crazy how unreliable these things are. I called at 11:30 to check the status and it said it was in the body shop with an estimated completion date of April 20th. I called 20 mins ago and it said that the car is currently in the paint shop and will be ready April 19th, which is today !!!!! Is the paint process really that expedited ? I know they have all those heaters and blowers in there but are they really THAT effective ?

AndreyATC== I was told it depends on the amount of cars BMW has to ship to your dealer. Mine should finish production tomorrow. It usually takes about 3-4 days for the dealership to receive it. My dealer told me that sometimes BMW will hold up a vehicle if the same dealer has more coming within the next week or so. This X6 is going to be a mother's day present for my wife. I know that the Easter weekend will probably screw up the delivery date somehow. I hope this info is helpful.

Awesome. Mine is still in the paint shop as of my last call today at 7:15pm It's been in the paint shop since Monday, 3 days . Also on Monday my completion date was 21st, then on Tuesday they changed to 20th and today they changed back to 21st WTF. On BMW website says that body shop takes 6 hours and paint shop one day for x6 and x5, so why my car is in the paint shop for 3 days
4.8 E70 - when your car went into the production? mine went on last thursday the 14th. thanks |

I went into production on the 13th. Mine was in the body shop for about 2 days and in the paint shop for a day. I called this morning and was at the port of exit. I already ordered a bunch of mods for the x6 today lol. I'm getting her toys ready You should be at the port of exit by tomorrow also. Keep us updated, Glina !

Just called the 800# and "your vehicle is complete. Your vehicle has been released to the carrier". Wooo hoooo.
Does anyone know if the rear windows will be tinted ? I got the premium package as well as the premium sound package. My CA doesn't seem to know the answer to that question lol |

Just called 800 automated and it still tells me that the car is at the paint shop with completion date today. After talking to a live person at 800 number she tells me that my car is at the stage 154, which is the assembly. I'm still pretty sure that the production will be or is finished today. I think that their information is a day or two behind.

Perfect. Now I got to get the front windows matched perfectly.
I just emailed him as that is the fastest way I get a response from him lol. I will let you know what he says exactly in a few minutes. I just can't wait to get this bad boy. I'm slapping on gloss black grilles, led turn signals, euro clear oem side markers, and upgraded led license plate lights as I pick her up lol. |
