RDC questions

Hi guys
I purchased a winter set up from a 2016 F15.
I am getting a Tire monitor Malfunction light on my dash.
I own a 2012 e70 35d even though both tpms give off 433mhz I realized that they use a different RDC module in F15. My question is if I was to buy a RDC for a F15 would it work on my E70 and would it need to be coded? Has anyone tried this?
My other option is to decode tpms while I have my winter set on, I would prefer not to decode just looking for feed back and options.

Thank you all

I don't know about the RDC Swap. I think it would be safer to just put on the right TPMS sensors on the wheels.

If I the RDC off F15 is compatible with my E70
I rather change that then all the sensors.

If you're familiar with any of the online part database sites like:
  1. www.Realoem.com
  2. www.Bmwfans.info
  3. www.Etk.cc

...you can look up the TPMS sensor (in the WHEEL diagrams), then click on its part number to see what other BMW models it is used on. If the f15's TPMS sensors work on the e70...they will have the same part nbrs.

Thank you qsilver.
I know that the sensors are not compatible what I was wondering if the f15 rdc is with e70.

Ahhh...sorry about that...you're asking about the RDC control module...not the TPMS sensors? If yes, then the same principle applies...if you click on the e70's part number for the RDC control module (as well as it electrical harness)...you'll see what other BMW models use the same part...and it looks like neither (the RDC (#1) nor its electrical harness (#6)) lists the f15:
