The Ultimate e70 x5m Halo Lights Setup

I'd really like to go LED retro fit. However it's $4-6k if your lucky being that each headlight is close to 2k.

I guess i will have to settle. Anyone know any light rebuilders ?

I've been trying to find h8 bulbs that light the inner and outer halo rings brightly and evenly. I've saw lux 180w reviews saying it didn't do it for them.

Anyone familiar with this setup?

I have the Lux, and while they aren't exactly even, I am happy with the look, especially compared to the stock yellow bulbs. Granted, I leave my lights on auto, so when the headlights come on, with the CBI bulbs, it doesn't matter at all.

I bought these for my wifes E90 almost 3 years ago and they still look sharp.

I have used the people linked below on my E39 and know a few other guys who have used them as well. When I swap out for a clear lens or projector retrofit, they will be my go to...

Lux 189 on the right
Ebay 35 watt on the left.

Def brighter. But not worth the extra $130 imho

Oh well

LUX for me, best route for under $2500. Still, not perfect. Crazy that my Tundra can be upgraded to full LED incl DLR for under $750 (factory headlights) or the Morimoto XBs LEDs for $1100, yet the BMW tax and complexity add a zillion $ to this platform.

I just installed the Lux Angel Eyes (189) and just kind of shoved the ballast in the bottom. Do I need to be concerned about AHL (Adaptive Headlight) errors, or is it fine in the E70? I know it was an issue with the 135i, but that's a significantly smaller housing.
