Questions for x5m owner with kw v3
What is the best setting on this toy?
After I lowered the car, with 420mm in the front (wheel center to fender)..it feels like crap... Please share..because I tried to do the search on the forum but it does not have much information on the adjustment. Please share about your experience. Thanks

You know I have to ask why so many opt for the KW V3's instead of the V2's or the V1's even. Are you really getting that involved with needing the extra setting that the V1's cant give you. im just trying to understand if the big gap in cost is worth it.

KW v3 is the only system compatible with the X5M.

There is a fine line with lowering. Too low and it'll be harsh. With the v3's, the wrong damping settings will also make for a floaty or rough ride.
I would start with KW's recommended lowering specs. They usually provide a range of lowering that is recommended. This will provide you with sufficient travel which will aid with comfort. As for settings, for compression and rebound, that is tough to give you an idea of what works or doesnt. It's all subjective. What you need to learn is what each does and how it impacts your car, and then, start with only the FF or RR of the car when changing settings. Start full soft on end, and start playing with the other. change setting, drive around for a few days, change settings, drive for a few days, rinse repeat. It's a process, and a long one to boot. Remember, there is only ONE ideal setting for the compression and rebound. This is based on the road conditions and speed traveled. Increasing a setting to be more "sporty," but still just driving on normal roads does nothing for you.
