Key Fob won't hold a charge
Has anyone else had this problem? My key fob is no longer holding a charge. Therefore, I can't unlock and lock my doors remotely unless I've just been driving it. It will lock (sometimes) after a drive when it's gotten some juice out of the port.
Has anyone been able to repair this on their own, or am I facing another trip to the dealership? thanks |

I changed my battery recently, on my own, after getting a prompt about a low key battery on the dash. It was just a standard button battery I picked up at bestbuy.
Not the same? |

If you have comfort access you can replace the battery.
Without comfort access the FOB gets charged through induction in the ignition. I guess some people got confused because you wrote: Quote:
