Help!!! idrive control display issue

Hello fellow members,
2010 X5M
I have an issue that I cannot seem to find a resolution for.
This afternoon while driving my conteol display flashed white screen and shut off. Nothing happened to the sound or any of the functionso I can still use the navi and all but as you can imagine its not any good without no picture. I rebooted the system, unpluged the battery but still no success. I just cannot get it to turn on. I do not have warranty so I prefer not to go to the dealer. Any help would be appreciated. Any thoughts?

You can try resetting it by following the procedure in the manual.

I tried resetting by holdeng the vilume control on/off button for 30 seconds but that did not work. I read that a fuse could be the issue but I cannot figure out which fuse to check. There is diagram in the rear fuse box, does anyone know what numbers are assocuated with the control display?
