Bye 135i...hello 2015 BSM 335i

After a 6 month wait I finally got my new ride. 2015 335i 8spd. It has the MPPK and the MPE. I am very happy with the car so far but I am still taking it easy for the break in period. Car has a very nice solid feel to it. Suspension is good in comfort but much better in Sport. Steering is good in Sport but too light in comfort. Engine and transmission work really well together. Everything in the interior is a nice upgrade from my 135. MPE has a great exhaust note...nice aggressive bark but not too loud. I have had a few comments from other drivers about the sound of my car. I will follow up with a more thorough comparison to my old 135 once I have this one broken in and I have had a chance to give it a good drive.

US has the black line trim. I prefer black over chrome on the m sport.

Very nice, congrats!
Just wait until the MPE is broken in and you get all the pops and burps and whatnot!

Nice 3er! Really get a taste for those Ferric Grey wheels!

Really thought Canadian M-Sport / Sport Line 3ers still got the black shadowline trim.

Then again, there was a 14MY 328i Sport Line Individual with light grey headliner and matte window trim over at Parkshore BMW...

Congrats. Yea break in is a "B" cause it feels like the car is just begging you to push it. Afterwards though you won't want to crave anything else.

I didn't get to chose on the trim...it wasn't an option when I ordered a 2014 but for 2015 you get the matte chrome but you can select gloss black trim as on option.

I had heard mixed reviews about the MPE on this website so I wasn't sure what to expect. Even the first day the bark at start up is good, lots of pops and burps. I have had several comments on the sound.

The thing I like best about it is it isnt obnoxious.
When you first start the car you hear it for 30 seconds then its gone.
In comfort mode its a nice sound without hearing the guts of it and is barely even noticeable in the cabin.
But when you put it in sport it has a great sound between shifts and especially fun when slowing down and downshifting.
(and next to median or in tunnels/overpasses!)

Yes - I leave the door open when starting - love the cold start-up sound!

What made you go from the 1 to the 4? Are you going to black out that chrome window trim? Haha.

Loved my 1 series...just need more room for my kids. I looked long and hard at the 235 before I chose the 335. Two teenagers and I seem to be driving them and their friends around! My son was tired of fitting his 6' frame into the back of the 135!

At first I wasn't sure about the chrome trim. It has grown on me. It looks better then some of the chrome trim I have seen before. I parked beside a previous generation 328 with chrome trim. The older chrome was small and shiny. The chrome on my car is brushed and has a more substantial look to it. I like it.
